21/365 - Jan. 21, 2009
So, Nate has this beard/sideburn trimmer and he was using it today and while he was using it Bright went in to go potty. SOMEone wasn't thinking and left his *shaver* on the bathroom counter. Around lunchtime I heard a quick little *buzzz* and ran into the bathroom and this is what I found....bad BAD Dad!

so is it cheating to make multiple pictures into 1? LOL
Baby Morgan isn't looking so babyish today. He got his big boy haircut thanks to his *need* to mobilize himself by scooting around the floor on his back. It causes a LOT of bad hair days (as can been seen in the middle BEFORE picture). His big boy do sure looks cute on him!

A little pampering goes a long way. Spent a little time on Sunday pampering myself and the girls. I got Belle and Mia's toes painted and promised them that if they would stop biting their fingernails i'd paint them weekly. Anna and I both got our fingers and toes painted, Anna is the only one who doesn't bite her fingernails (she's even better than I am) so with our new 11am church we have a little time for pampering ourselves :)Friday, January 9, 2009

January 5th 2009 (5/365)

I had other aspirations for today's picture of the day. Something like my incredibly clean kitchen, front room, bathroom, all my laundry being done..... something. But this little man whom I love oh so much had other ideas in mind. He was suffering from something today, he was kind of warm but never feverish, very whiney and clingy but not a tooth to be seen to blame it on - is it the 6 month separation anxiety? I sure hope not because this wasn't just *ack I can't see my mom* this was *oh my gosh you're not holding me, you put me down, i'm going to scream bloody murder until you pick me up again*. What was really sad (and quickly got old) was the fact that 1/2 the time not even holding him helped, he was just miserable.
Here's to hoping all that extra snuggling and one on one mom time really helps and tomorrow is a better day (for him, I still managed to get a LOT done today, I just had to do a lot of it 1 handed).

Sunday Curls

Anyone who knows me knows that one of my favorite if not my favorite thing about having girls is doing their hair. I love it, it is fun for me and that is why it makes me so sad when they do things like cut it themselves. I took advantage of our 1st Sunday with 11 o'clock church and broke out the curlers and did the girls hair. Don't they look so pretty (Belle wasn't big on having her hair curled so just the ends are done but Anna and Mia's really REALLY curled up nicely :)

Also, I just love how cute they're being with these wooden magnetic dolls. I can sit and play with them for forever with them.

January 2nd 2009 (2/365)

One of my resolutions for 2009 is to be a better *housekeeper*. I feel like we live in continual chaos and so I have found that one of the ways to get myself motivated is to make sure I get up and make my bed every morning. It looks OH so nice when it is all put together pretty and makes me happy. Now I just need to make sure that Nate gets out of bed when I do so that I can make it right then rather than having to wait for him. I also have to buy 2 more big square pillows - I have pretty shams for them too!
January 1st 2009 (1/365)
I wonder if it matters that I didn't actually TAKE this picture or that it is not completely in focus? My guess is no. What better way to start a project of the entire year than with a picture of the whole family together? We rang in the new year with our great friends Jenn and Al and family. We watched movies, hung out, the kids destroyed their house but we all had fun. Everyone except little Dejon made it until midnight. Brighton shocked us by staying in a very good mood considering he hadn't had a nap all day. Happy New Year!
