A new goal!

I am pretty sure once I go back thru I did pretty darn good at taking a picture every day of 2009 - but I didn't actually keep up on this blog - so my goal for 2010 - starting on 1/1/10!

June 8, 2009 - 159/365

I know - i've slacked off a little bit but i'm going to go back and fix that when I get my computer back.

I was downstairs tonite switching over laundry and I saw a little (at the time it kinda freaked me out because it looked deformed) bird stuck in my window well. This explained the weird noise I heard earlier in the evening outside my kitchen window.

Nate was a champ and dealt with me waking him up to go rescue the bird and he got him and put him in a box. I took the box out front and freed him in my garden (dear. Mr./Ms. bird - i'm sorry if you are a girl cuz I keep calling you a boy) and have to just hope the cats don't get him :(

Today we celebrated Heather's 31st Birthday. She'll be out of town on her actual birthday (6/12)

and I made this cute card I was pretty proud of so for now i'm using this picture - altho I may update and change this later with pictures Zach took :)

We have been having SUCH odd weather already this month. Beautiful sunshiney days with bursts of downpours. It's pretty nice actually, it cools things down nice and quickly.

Yay for new shelves in the linen closet - not to mention the fact that I was able to check off a big project on the *to do* list - and eliminated a bunch of stuff that didn't need to be in there and made it look all purdy!

This was one of the girls 4th of July skirts from 2007. I did a little altering and made a shirt to go with it for a friend of mines little girl and then made a full new set for the baby. I am really going to miss these skirts. They were one of the 1st sets I made for the girls and I still just LOVE the way they turned out.

ok - so this post is a flat out lie but you'll forgive me right? This was taken on 5/30 but was to funny not to share.

The kids had soccer pics today - I was snapping some pictures of them while they were doing the pictures. The little boy *posing* for the picture i'm pretty sure his name is Wesley and this had me laughing so hard!

We had a fun night out with Jake and Rae and their girls. I think the highlight for the kids was definitely playing in the fountain with Jake. The kids loved riding on the back (or the front - wherever Jake would let them climb on) of Jake's wheelchair and he was a great sport taking them each on little rides over and over.

Miss Mia in her new gap giraffe outfit made by ME! Mia got this giraffe dress last year and I never loved the way it fit her and I still had it and the matching shoes laying around so I decided to have some fun with it. We LOVE the results!

How amazing is he? We had NO success finding a bed for Brighton that wasn't a character bed so his dad made him one - in no time flat. Bright LOVES it!

Funny Funny Belle. Belle got in trouble for doing a major DUH! I called her from the neighbors yard and instead of taking 2 seconds to slip into her shoes she ran, across the wet mud in her white socks, I told her I wasn't very happy with her and that she had to pay for the socks. Later she gave me this note. It reads (as I put it in order):

Valentines, Valentines everywhere!

We had a lot of fun making valentines this year. Talon, Belle and Anna all helped me make theirs and sat and signed them all. They turned out so cute and were a lot more fun than just buying a box of cards!

Belle brought me the supplies and informed me that she wanted her Valentine's box to be a giraffe. It actually came together very easily and she was REALLY happy with it. She had the cutest box in her class :D

Today we went up to tour the new Draper temple. We took the kids with us and went with the family. It was SO pretty and was a really nice night for all of us. I think for sure we'll be going to the new S. Jordan temple when they have it's open house too.

We went to the aquarium today. There were a lot of cute pictures but non quite as perfect as this one. Miss Mia was having a lot of fun playing in the water and trying to touch the fish and sting rays.
